The Convent of San Francisco
A working friary. At the time of our visit, services normally taking place in the cathedral had been transferred here while renovations were taking place.

The calvary of St Francis, outside the church

San Fructuoso
Dating from c1750. High baroque inside and out. Next to it is a poignant cemetery - it is for those pilgrims that made it to Santiago, but no further. At least they completed their pilgrimage.
Now who was Saint Fructuosus? A confusing issue, as there are two Spanish saints with this name. The one this church is dedicated to is San Fructuosus of Braga, who died in 665. He was an abbott and a bishop. He dressed very humbly and lived a spartan life.
